Tyra has traveled extensively teaching students and giving clinics. She has taught master classes at The Outreach Festival in Austria, The School of Rock in Los Angeles, The SE Program in Taiwan, Uvalde High School in Texas, The College of Music in Los Angeles, The Miami Jazz Festival, and has private students in both New York, Los Angeles, and Miami. As a successful background vocalist and headlining international performer, Tyra uses her experience to inspire and mentor students and aspiring artists.
From being teased and bullied as a young girl to growing up and touring the world with Demi Lovato, singing on the Grammys and the Oscars and making her dreams come true over and over again, Tyra Juliette is an inspiration to students, especially those that might be going through hardships. She has an extreme relate-ability factor and the passion and skill to get through to even the most “unreachable” students. She focuses on building confidence, getting people to step out of their comfort zone, teaching performance and audition skills, which in turn enhance life skills. She also has endless advice and anecdotes about how to apply these skills in the “real world” and achieve success in the music industry. The feedback she gets from children is that she inspires them and pushes them to get to the next level of their lives. Students of Tyra’s have gotten into the colleges of their choice and credit her for helping them break out of their shell. Encouraging life skills such as a strong work ethic, self confidence, the ability to overcome obstacles, the strength to quiet that voice in our heads that tells us that we “can't” and pushing people to really find what's special and unique about them is what Tyra brings to each lesson, clinic and class. She genuinely cares about each and every student, and students recognize that and respect her for it.
